Become One With Nature- Find Your Habitat
Winning Mental Culture requires that you become a specialist on yourself.
Remember, even single aspect of your life must contribute to the big picture:
WINNING
Your environment is everything.
Your living environment must enable the very best for you.
Physically.
Mentally.
Emotionally.
Spiritually.
You must find a habitat that enables you to be your best in all of these areas.
I have found that in order to truly enjoy life, you must become one with nature.
You cannot just float through life with your head down.
Life sucks when you look up and everything you see is PLAIN and BORING. It’s hard to stay motivated in such environments.
The world is a beautiful place and you only have one shot to take in the spectacular sights and sounds.
Why would you settle for anything less than THE VERY BEST for yourself? Why wouldn’t you live in your ideal environment?
Become One With Nature. Find Your Ideal Habitat!
The Las Vegas desert was not my ideal habitat.
Sure the mountains (and desert landscape) were cool to look at while driving but that was about it.
Looking back, it was too extreme. The Sun cooked me. The 100+ degree days sapped me of my energy.
I would drink 2.5 gallons of water a day but the desert heat would immediately drain it out of me.
The nights were loud and unsettling. There’s no green in the desert. It’s just dry and harsh.
Even though I lived out in the suburbs, it still wasn’t peaceful. I rarely got a chance to just sit in my apartment and listen to the world.
When I closed my eyes, I would always hears cars.
I disregarded my ideal habitat in order to experience the fun of Sin City.
North Carolina is different. I’m at peace hear.
When I sit out on my porch, I see nothing but green.
And I hear the world.
I hear the birds chirping. I hear a slight breeze blowing through the leaves.
I hear the insects. When it rains, I can hear the water falling on the leaves.
At night, I hear the crickets chirping.
My Daily Sights and Sounds
Paradise Found
In an ideal world, you could just pick up and move your entire life to your ideal habitat.
However, not everyone can do this. That’s why it’s important to take trips and experience the world’s beauty.
You have to escape every once in a while.
This is especially true if your current living environment sucks.
Escape your plain old boring terrain.
Escape the depressing gray cities. Escape the endless car horns and sirens.
Go out and explore!
Breathe in that fresh mountain hair.
Watch those beautiful ocean waves crash on to the shore.
Listen to all the creatures in the forest.
And find comfort in the silence of the desert.
I learned the importance of nature in my life when I took an unexpected road trip to Hermosa Beach.
The big picture lesson was to live life to the fullest.
You should have high standards in all aspects of life. This includes witnessing the spectacular sights and sounds of the world.
For that’s the winning way…
