It’s a simple question. Do you like listening to podcasts?
Why do you like podcasts? What do you look for in a podcast?
Are there certain types of podcasts you enjoy in particular?
Let me know your thoughts because this is an area I want to expand upon in the near future. If I am going to do something, I want to do it right and not follow the self-improvement “this is how you become successful” norm.

Hey, Sonny. I’m sorry to say this, but I don’t like podcasts (in general).
It’s not about you the problem. I never hear any podcast from anyone, because they are usually long, like more than half an hour, and I don’t want to spend that much time in just one thing. Also, I read faster than I hear.
Another reasons:
>I really enjoy reading text.
>When I read/watch/listen I like to pause/go back a bit because I want to think that again. Reading I can do that as much as I can, the most easy way. Watching a video/audio gets more annoying, and slower.
>English is not my natural language. I can read it almost perfect, but I’m only good hearing. Sometimes if the voice isn’t clear and slow enough I don’t get it. (I’m not saying that your voice is bad, this is in general). Anyway, it is more difficult to hear than to read English for me.
>Texts are usually shorter, more concise and better shaped. Like with an introduction, content, conclusion. In general they are better diagrammed.
Anyway, this is just my opinion, and I don’t know if I represent a lot of your readers… Hear what others have to say.
Something you can do, if you want and think it’s a good idea, is to do a podcast and leave the key discussion and maybe some small analysis in text. Also, I saw many bloggers putting the minute and seconds that you touch a topic or main idea, so people can just go and hear that part, or for having a basic guideline or idea of the podcast’s contents.
Ok thanks bro. Will definitely consider this.
I don’t like podcasts, there is too little information per unit of time. I’ve listened to a few and in every case I though “what a waste of time”.
Thanks Matt. Yea if I were to do something. They would not be hour long discussions.
Honestly I’d say podcasts are my favorite part of this site. I love how much thought goes into the articles but it’s cool to hear you speak off the cuff on stuff and be able to listen while doing other things like commuting, cleaning etc. More podcasts on social skills/dating stuff would be cool but I’d listen to anything. Podcasts let you cover tons of ground really quickly.
Thanks Conor. Yea I’v got a legal pad with a massive list of topics to talk about.
I agree with this.. They’re awesome in long road trips/flights.
yea it would definitely have to be a versatile project
Yes I like them if the subject is interesting / valuable and I respect the opinion / knowledge of the person talking. I like that I can listen to them on my walk to work. Otherwise I would never sit down for an hour to hear someone talk. Your AMA podcasts are good.
Yea this potential projects is something that I would stay in the 10-30 min range on except for AMA’s
Sonny,
I love your podcasts, but the one thing I feel that you haven’t talked about as much is making money. Please talk about this more because I’m a full time college student living my parents and it is not possible for me to live the lifestyle I want to live and the lifestyle your talk about without having my own place and being financially independent. Working a 9-5 is not practical and not something I want to do either, even after college with my degree.
Thanks,
Mo
YES. Business and making money is something I would feel comfortable talking about now… Since February (when the site was redesigned) I have nearly matched last year’s earnings from my job.
I can understand some of the other guy’s opinions because I never listened to podcasts but now I listen to them all the time now that I have a commute.
I think podcasts are good to explain your personal experiences. It would probably be easier since you don’t have to be as organized so you can just free flow.
Yea. Figured. Anybody that has a commute usually listens to something to tune out.
I def like the free flowing type feel.
