How to go from stoppable to unstoppable | The Secret Power of “Tweaks”
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you were unstoppable? Of course, we all have. We’ve all fantasized about becoming the ideal version of ourselves.
We’ve all visualized a future where we see the perfect version of ourselves crushing it in every aspect of life.
Then we wake up and realize it was all a dream. Reality reminds us that we have a lot of work to do.
But make no mistake, you can become unstoppable.
You can absolutely will your dreams into reality. That heroic version of yourself is a real entity because it exists in your mind. You simply need to build it in real life and this is exactly where most people mess up.
Going from stoppable to unstoppable is not a matter of completely transforming every single aspect of your life.
Why would you? After all, you are a unique brand and there’s probably something very special about it.
No. “Unstoppable” is achieved through tweaks.
What are tweaks?
Tweaks are the small micro-adjustments you make in the game. They are the building blocks of your machine. Tweaks are the difference between being an unstoppable machine versus the old, rusty relic that rots in the backyard.
Here’s a brief story to illustrate my point:
Eight years ago, I was at the driving range with my best friend from high school. I had just finished my Freshman year of college and I had some free time before my summer job started.
Since, I was a big strong kid with a baseball background, I figured I’d be launching them over the net. But I wasn’t. Everything was hooking right.
“My swing is all fucked up! I gotta completely change it!”
My friend stopped me and assured me that my swing was fine. I just needed to make one little “tweak.” The club was not making contact with the ball at the right angle and that’s what was causing it to hook right. All I had to do was turn the club just a little bit inward so that it would travel straight.
As soon as I did that, I was hitting bombs.
That was the day I learned the secret power of tweaks.
You see we all have areas we want to improve on and somewhere along the line we get this idea in our heads that we need to do something drastic to completely change our results.
The problem with this line of thinking is that when we look at change as some sort of monumental task, we are far more likely to give up.
Thinking in terms of tweaks has 5 distinct advantages.

2. You put the majority of your efforts into addressing the small problems versus engaging in a broad, unfocused effort.
3. Tweaks are easily accomplished. Every accomplishment boosts your confidence.
4. The game becomes fun when you view it through the lens of small accomplishments. It’s cold business. On to the next one.
5. You get results. A few small tweaks here and there is how you go from stoppable to unstoppable.

Let’s take a look at some common problems or lifestyle goals that we talk about on Strength By Sonny.
“I want to get jacked.”
In this instance, the lifestyle tweak would be to go to the gym and lift weights. Now some people may want to argue and say that’s a pretty big change but is it really? What are you really doing? All you are doing is setting aside an hour a day to go lift weights. After 2 weeks, this becomes automatic. That’s nothing but a tweak brother.
“I want to lose weight.”
In this case, the tweak would be eating better. Cut out the carbs and sugar. Eat lean protein, clean carbs, and drink water. A lot of people struggle with this and the reason why they struggle with it is because we are conditioned to think of a simple diet change as a lifestyle overhaul. It’s not. It takes an hour to wipe our your kitchen and restock it with healthy food. Sounds like a tweak to me.
“I want cool friends.”
The tweak is simple. Get out of the house and start talking to people. Go to the hot spots in your city and mingle with the locals (the regulars). Become a regular at a gym, a bar, a salon and a restaurant. Shoot the shit with people and see what happens.
“I want to get a girlfriend.”
There’s a lot of ways to go about this but in my experience the tweak would be to simply get out of the house and start making small talk with the chicks you see in your every day life. Most guys fail to realize how many opportunities life throws their way. Start taking advantage of these opportunities. Maybe something good will happen.
“I want to become more masculine. I want to become the strong, dominant figure I was always meant to be.”
The tweak is a cultural tweak. You have been conditioned by a culture that has done everything within it’s power to destroy strength and masculinity. All you have to do is change the culture. It may sound like an insurmountable task but the book on how to do this will be here before you know it.
